Welding Process Of Titanium Plate And Titanium Tube

Pipe cutting and groove machining; Pipe cutting and groove processing should be carried out in a special workplace using mechanical processing methods. During processing, non-polluting medium clean water should be used for cooling to prevent oxidation. Machining tools should be dedicated and kept clean to prevent iron contamination. The finished pipe mouth shall have smooth surface and no cracks, heavy leather and other defects. The maximum inclination deviation of the notch plane shall not exceed 1% of the pipe diameter.  

Surface cleaning: Use austenitic stainless steel wire brush to remove rust, paint, dirt, dust and sundries that can react with titanium on all welded surfaces of the titanium plate and within 100mm near groove. Use grinding wheel to trim the machining surface, and remove flying edge, burr, convex and concave defects.

Pair: Align and clamp the titanium tube and fittings, the axis line shall not be offset, the clearance shall be uniform, and the titanium tube shall be prevented from being damaged and polluted in the assembly. Avoid forced group pairs. Positioning welding adopts the same welding process as formal welding.  

Degreasing process: use celluloid sponge dipped in sulfur-free ethanol or sulfur-free acetone to degrease all welded surfaces and the area around groove within 50mm, and the surface after treatment should be free of any residues.

Welding equipment for titanium plate titanium tube:

Welder: Use DC TiG welder. The welder shall in good performance in order to ensure excellent working and regulating characteristics and be equipped with sound ammeter and voltmeter.  

Welding torch: QS - 75°/500 type water - cooled TiG torch. Welding torch should have the characteristics of simple structure, light and durable, tight gun body, good insulation, stable airflow, solid tungsten holding, suitable for welding in various positions.

Argon gas conveying pipe; Adopt semi-rigid plastic pipe. It is not recommended to use rubber hose and other hygroscopic material. It should be used exclusively and should not be used in tandem with pipes conveying other gases. Argon tube should not be too long, in order to avoid the pressure drop is too large, resulting in airflow instability, generally no more than 30m.  

Welding clamp: set titanium plate and fittings with austenitic stainless steel or copper pipe karan, locking bolt, etc. The clamping force of titanium plate and fittings should be kept so as to ensure the consistent axis line and the uniform clearance.

Auxiliary equipment and tools: argon shield, polishing machine, special file, stainless steel wire brush, etc.
