Three methods and process of stamping titanium T-junction

Stamping forming technology to make titanium T-junction is the use of seamless tube billet for one-time integral forming, mainly extrusion forming and the mechanical properties of the workpiece obtained is better than the welding T-junction. Stamping forming technology to make T-junction mainly include: packing bulging forming, hydraulic bulging, hot pressing forming three methods. The specific process of each method is as follows:

I. Extrusion forming of packing:

Packing bulging forming process, using internal filling to be filled straight pipe billet bulging forming. After putting the billet into the die cavity, the die is closed and then the punch with the same pipe diameter is pushed from both sides at the same speed. Under the action of pressure at both ends, the billet and the packing are extruded from the radial hole opened on the die to form a T-junction. In order to prevent the branch pipe bulging under the action of the pressure in the packing, a balance punch is installed in the radial hole of the die and enough balance pressure is applied to the extruded branch pipe to support the violent bulging of the branch pipe.

The wall thickness of the titanium T-junction is the same in all directions, the rough deformation of the piers is very small and the height of the extruded part is 2~-3 times of the pipe diameter. The packing and the metal pipe move synchronously in the mold cavity, and there is no mechanical scratch on the inner wall of the pipe fitting. One of the key technologies in this process is the selection of bulging medium filler. The bulging medium mainly includes paraffin, butter, clay, nylon, silicone rubber and polyurethane rubber, etc. High requirements for the inner wall of the three-way parts can choose nylon, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber and other media; And for the inner wall requirements are not too high or no requirements of the workpiece can be used as a medium paraffin wax and be recycled with low cost.

2. Hydraulic bulging:

Three - way hydraulic bulging is a kind of forming technology of metal material axial compensation expansion branch pipe. Its working principle is to use the hydraulic press to put the tube billet with the same diameter as the titanium T-junction into the cavity, press the die, and then infuse the tube billet liquid. After the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press squeeze the tube billet synchronously and in a relative medium motion, the volume of the tube billet becomes smaller after being extruded and the pressure of the liquid in the tube billet increases with the decrease of the tube billet volume. Under the dual action of the high pressure liquid of the billet and the extrusion pressure of the left and right axes, the pipe flows along the cavity of the die and bulges out the required shape and size of the branch pipe. In order to prevent the branch pipe from breaking, a balance force of a balanced punch is needed to support the severe deformation of the branch pipe.

Hydraulic bulging titanium T-junction suitable for forming materials as cold hardening tendency of relatively low carbon T-junction, alloy T-junction, stainless T-junction, including some non-ferrous metal materials, such as copper, aluminum, titanium, etc.

3. Hot pressing forming:

Hot pressing is pressed into a T-junction after heating, and the tonnage of the equipment required for material forming is low. Its process is to flatten the tube billet larger than the diameter of the titanium T-junction to the size of the T-junction diameter, and open a hole at the branch pipe to heat the tube billet. During the radial compression process, the metal will flow in the direction of the branch pipe, under the mold tension to form the branch pipe. The whole process of hot forming is through the radial compression of the tube billet and the drawing process of the branch pipe. The difference between the forming T-junction and the hydraulic bulging is that the metal of the branch pipe of the T-junction is compensated by the radial movement of the tube billet, so it is also called the radial compensation process.

Hot pressing titanium T-junction is suitable for low carbon T-junction, alloy T-junction, stainless T-junction materials, especially the T-junction with large diameter and thick pipe wall, which is often used in hot pressing process to manufacture.
